DZI shall enhance its work with the Committees of the Verkhovna Rada of Ukraine (the Parliament), this was the focal point, in particular, at the meeting with Ihor Vasiunyk the First Deputy Head of the Committee on Transport & Communications and Bogdan Dubas the Director of DZI.
“Working with the State and Government authorities is a priority for us as DZI has more than 20 years of experience in providing expert opinion and are ready to give the relevant committees of the Verkhovna Rada information, render analytical, research and consulting services” Bogdan Dubas has distinguished.
Ihor Vasiunyk has been briefed by the management on the organization structure and list of services the company renders as well as the course of cooperation with DZI.
As one of the angles the cooperation may originate has been voiced by Victoria Manalaniyeva Market Research Department Chief of Real-estate, Vehicles and Consumer Goods proposed to prepare analytical reports and expertise for the Committee on Transport and Communication to develop the legislative guidelines for the laws that would govern the car transportation industry which is of vital importance for great part of Ukrainians.
“The State Budget has to be replenished and this is a fact, however we should not forget about the Ukrainian citizen who has the right of choice in selecting a used car, in other words, to provide a European approach in the used car market” has declared Bogdan Dubas.
Ihor Vasiunyk asked the experts of DZI to take part in the work of the Verkhovna Rada Committee on Transportation and Communications. Anton Porembskiy the Chief of Agriculture Research Department informed about the latest developments in the EU market, the case with demand for the Ukrainian agricultural produce and the possibilities of the State to facilitate the organic food production and promote exports.
Dmitro Ryazancev the Expert of Transfer Pricing and Financial Analysis Department laid out the latest development in the legislation controlling the currency transactions, transfer operations and transfer pricing in Ukraine. Most notably, the issues of offshore laundering transactions have been raised as Ukraine from January 1, 2017, has joined and implemented the standards that counter base erosion and profit shifting through low tax jurisdictions (BEPS measures).
Apart from that, on August 18, 2016 the National Bank of Ukraine canceled the Regulation No. 597 dd 12.30.2003 according to which all residents that are to pay for services (work done, intellectual rights used) purchased from foreign suppliers for more than 50’000 Euros had to receive a price verification report from DZI that had to confirm that the price for the services rendered is in compliance with the market level. The lifting of the mentioned regulation has loosened the control over transactions for the import of services with the cross-border element.
Finally, Ihor Vasiunyk and Bogdan Dubas discussed the plans to create the Supervisory Board of the company in accordance with the Decree No.142 dd 03.10.2017 of the Cabinet of Ministers of Ukraine in order to implement the European principles of operation.
