Gravel Production Growth in Ukraine in May 2016

The volume of gravel extraction increased by 3.7% in May 2016 compared to May 2015.

In accordance with the State Committee of Statistics of Ukraine, the gravel extraction in the country went up by 3.7% up to 5.6 million tonnes in May 2016 compared to May 2015 (excluding the Autonomous Republic of Crimea and Sevastopol city, the parts of Donetsk and Luhansk region). The index increased by 3.1% in comparison to April. The index seasonal growth was also fixed by 2.6% up to 11,03 million tonnes in April-May 2016 compared to April-May 2015. All in all, the volume of gravel extraction reached the level of 19,89 million tonnes.
