Export of Ukrainian goods to the Republic of Belarus went up 45%

Yuri Brovchenko, Deputy Minister of Economic Development and Trade of Ukraine has paid an official visit to the Republic of Belarus to take part in the third meeting of the Ukrainian-Belarus working group on cooperation in the field of industrial development.   

According to the press service of the Ministry of Economic Development and Trade of Ukraine, Yuri Brovchenko has met Dmitriy Korchik the Deputy Minister of Industry of Belarus and have set the priorities of cooperation for the current year as well as discussed the plans for the year 2018, furthermore, an agreement has been reached for Electrotyazhmash and BelAZ; State enterprise Ukrainian Research Institute Special Steels, Alloys and Ferroalloys and Borisov Plant of Automotive and Tractor Electrical Equipment to work together.

In 2016 the turnover between Ukraine and Belarus has shown signs of positive development and started to grow compared to previous years; for the five months of 2017, the turnover between Ukraine and Belarus reached $1.64 billion or 25.4% more up by $331.7 million if compared to 2016 respectively. Ukrainian export of goods to Belarus is 44.7% more or $426.9 million, compared to the five months of 2016.
