In accordance with the “Marshall Plan” Ukraine may receive 5 billion Euros for the assistance of reforms
Lithuanian Seimas (parliament) is proposing a “Marshall Plan” for Ukraine according to which the European Union shall grant €5 billion to boost economic growth and development. Lithuanian plan for the years 2017-2020 and the “New European Plan for Ukraine” (otherwise known as the Marshall Plan) foresee economic, political and financial support for Ukraine within the context of European integration.
“Now the plan is actively debated in the main international organizations in order to create a “party of friends” of Ukraine that will bring strong backing for the plan and eventually facilitate its implementation” – has been underlined by Stepan Kubiv the Minister of Economic Development and Trade of Ukraine on his Facebook page.
It is worth noting, that Petro Poroshenko the President of Ukraine has discussed with the leaders of EU the development of the “Marshall Plan” and in regards to the matter is preparing to hold a specialized conference in the beginning of 2018.
