According to available information, manufacturers of fixtures failed to keep the previous price standing. Due to the low sales volume in August, most industrial complexes had to review their pricing policy. Thus, the September volume has already devalued by 5-10 dollars per tonne, and the current proposals do not exceed the range of 345-350 dollars per tonne, FOB (seaports of Ukraine). At the same time, traders observe that the current rate of quotations seems overpriced, taking into account the strong competition from Asian suppliers and low demand in the key markets. Many market operators believe that the cost of Ukrainian fixtures will decrease in the coming weeks. Meanwhile, there is a high probability that the next range of proposals may vary from 335 to 340 dollars per tonne, FOB.
