In January-September 2018 compared to the same period of 2017, Poltava and Eristovsky mining and processing plants (both – Poltava region), controlled by Ferrexpo plc (Great Britain), increased the production of steel pellets by 1.3% or 103.26 thousand tons to 7.756 million tons. This has been stated in the message of the company on the website of the London Stock Exchange.
For 9 months, the company produced 7.257 million tons of steel pellets with 65% iron content, as well as 484.57 thousand tons of pellets with 62% iron content.
In July-September compared with April-June, the company increased the production of pellets by 5.93% or by 148.84 thousand tons to 2,659.85 thousand tons.
As reported, in January-June, Ferrexpo EBITDA (profit before interest expenses, taxes and amortization) is down by 18.4%, or $ 52,788 million to $ 234.15 million compared to the first half of 2017 of the year.
In 2017, Ferrexpo exported 10,407 thousand tons of pellets.
