Production volumes of steel constructions will actively grow (infographics)

In the first half of 2017, the production of steel structures in Ukraine increased by 20% compared to 2016 respectively.

Last two years steel constructions in commercial real estate showed signs of significant growth. However, given the high prices for rolled steel experts of the Ukrainian Steel Construction Center (USCC) are expecting a drop in steel usage in commercial real estate for 2017 and will reach 52.7% and in general, for the whole construction industry will reach 9.2%.

“Should the current tendency in the construction industry remain production of steel constructions in 2017 will increase by 15% if compared with 2016 and reach 85’000 tons, moreover, the domestic consumption till the end of 2017 is expected on the level of 12% up to 75’000 tons”, Vyacheslav Kolesnik the Executive Director of USCC commented.

According to the assessment of USCC experts, 75% of fabricators of steel constructions reported active production and six participants of the industry showed volumes of production exceeding 2’000 tons.
