In January-September, exports of ferrous metals reached $ 7.7 billion

Ukraine in January-September 2018 exported ferrous metals for $ 7.736 billion (commodity group 72 according to HS). This has been reflected by customs statistics released by the State Fiscal Service (SFS) of Ukraine. In September, ferrous metals were exported for $ 734.954 million and imported – for $ 117.588 million.

The share of the commodity group in total exports in dollar terms amounted to 22.4%. The largest cash receipts have traditionally been provided by the export of flat-rolled products, semi-finished products, and carbon steel bars.

Furthermore, Ukraine in January-September 2018 exported products from ferrous metals (commodity group 73 according to HS) for $ 829.992 million (share in total exports in dollar terms – 2.4%), imported – for $ 678.939 million (1.7%).
