Bogdan Dubas the Director of the “State Research and Information Center for Monitoring International Commodity Markets” and Zenon Potichny the President of the Canada-Ukraine Chamber of Commerce have signed the Memorandum of Cooperation
“The Memorandum particularly provides a set of information and training actions for Ukrainian and Canadian businesses the main intent of which is to facilitate the market entrance of both countries” has been declared by the Director of DZI.
“There are Canadian businesses that are searching for partners in Ukraine and on the other end, there are Ukrainian exporters that are looking for to enter the Canadian market. This requires thorough training, knowledge of the rules and laws of respectful markets. According to our analysis, there are quite a number of companies interested in the Canadian market. For this reason, we are interested in helping business by rendering information, analytical, research, consulting services and expertise. Our other goal is to facilitate in establishing direct links between Ukrainian and Canadian businessmen” Bogdan Dubas highlighted.
“We are working on CUTIS (Canada-Ukraine Trade and Investment Support Project) the main mission of which is to facilitate Ukrainian export to Canada. A research of the Ukrainian economy shall be done in order to identify the five industries of the most interesting for Canada to import and Ukrainian companies will be selected that are capable of exporting. The second stage will be to prepare these companies to work in Canada. Finally, the representatives of these companies with valid and ready market offers will travel to Canada as part of a trade mission where they will have the possibility to present their projects and services, directly address the potential customers.
The signing of the Memorandum of Cooperation with DZI will help to build up export-import relations between our countries and assist businessmen in penetrating new markets” were the words of Zenon Potichny.
Canada-Ukraine Chamber of Commerce has been established in 1993. The mission of the CUCC is to contribute to the creation of favorable conditions for trade and investments between Ukraine and Canada.
